Hotel Near Yuba City Sikh Festival

Hotel Near Yuba City Sikh Festival

Stay at the Yuba City Hotel Palisdae while attending the 31st annual Sikh Festival. This great cultural event honors and reflects upon Sikh scripture and its teachings. Sikhism originated in India in the Punjab region during the 15th century. This festival celebrates that heritage and its core values, including Universal Brotherhood of Man, Equality of Mankind, and the belief in One Supreme God.

In 2008 the event has had over 80,000 attendees from around the country! The parade that year also had 50 floats from the local community. Each float illustrated a belief from the Guru Granth Sahib, Sikhism’s holy book.

With three days of activities, there will be lost of learning and fun to be had by all. The events are as follows:

Friday:

  • The festival begins with a firework show at 8:oop.m.

Saturday:

  • Flag raising at 9:00a.m.
  • Open House all day
  • Guided Tour
  • Lunch at 2:00p.m.

Sunday:

  • Parade through Yuba City at 11:00 a.m.

This is a wonderful event to gather people together to celebrate who they are and for other people to learn more about Sikhism. Book your room today at the Yuba City Hotel Palisade while attending this year’s Sikh Festival.
