In its 26th year the Yuba/ Sutter Bike Around the Buttes is approaching quickly and the Yuba City Hotel Palisade is the place to stay.
The Bike Around the Buttes has courses for any type of rider. The first ride is the Fun Course and is only 17.5 miles with gorgeous views of the Buttes, a small incline, and a fully stocked rest stop. The second ride is the Classic Course at 40 miles long with wonderful historic sights to see and three rest stops. The last ride is the Century Ride, a complete 100 mile course! It’s a flat course that is great to get into shape for the upcoming cycling season. With amazing views of much of Sutter county, five rest stops, and a 5 minute massage therapy, it’s sure to be an outstanding ride!
Races are on April 16th this year. The Century Course start time is between 7:00 and 7:55a.m. and all other races begin between 8 and 11 a.m. Check in is at the Youth Sutter Organization Building. Click here to see a map. Registration for the rides range from $23-50 before the day of the event, depending on the ride you choose and when you register. All proceeds from this great event benefit the Yuba/ Sutter Type 1 Diabetes Support Group.
